Fix the chip before it becomes a crack
A rock chip can spread quickly in Arizona heat. Repaired early, it's a 15-to-20-minute mobile visit, often fully covered by insurance, and your original factory windshield stays in place.
Watch a chip repair happen

The injector seals over the chip, pulls the air out of the break, and drives resin into every leg of the crack. A UV light cures the resin in minutes, strengthening the damaged area and helping keep it from spreading.
The repaired spot usually becomes much less noticeable, although some evidence of the impact may remain. A repair is an attempt, not a guarantee. Catching the damage early gives you the best chance of keeping the original windshield in place.
Can it be repaired?
Most chips smaller than a quarter and cracks up to a few inches long can be repaired, as long as the damage isn't at the edge of the glass or directly in the driver's line of sight.
Heat and temperature changes can make a chip spread. Damage that may be repairable today can become a replacement if the crack starts running. If you see damage, cover it with clear tape and call. We'd rather repair it now than replace the windshield later.
How the repair works
We clean the damage, apply a clear resin under vacuum so it fills the break all the way through, cure it under UV light, and polish it flush. The cured resin strengthens the damaged area and helps stop it from spreading. You can drive immediately.
If the damage is too large or in the wrong spot to repair safely, we'll say so and quote a replacement instead.

Chip repair questions
Will the chip disappear completely?
Usually mostly, not entirely. A good repair strengthens the damaged area and is meant to keep the damage from spreading. The mark also becomes much less visible, although some faint trace often remains, especially with older or dirty damage.
How long does a chip repair take?
About 15 to 20 minutes, and you can drive right away afterward.
Does insurance cover chip repair?
Many comprehensive policies cover chip repair in full because it's cheaper for the insurer than a replacement later. We'll check for you.
What if the crack spreads anyway?
A chip repair is an attempt to save the windshield, and no honest shop guarantees it. The goal is structural, not cosmetic: you'll usually still see a faint mark where the impact was. If a repaired chip spreads anyway, the glass needs replacement, and we'll quote it to you straight.
